The Healthy Homes Coalition of West Anniston was established in 2023, as a results of the West Anniston Foundation efforts and involvement with the National Leadership Academy for the Public's Health Lead Free Communities Initiative. Our roots lie in addressing environmental injustices, in underserved communities. Today, we expand our efforts to tackle a range of children's environmental health issues related to housing.
0ur focus is primarily on lead poisoning, but we recognize the need to address other hazards like radon, carbon monoxide, and fire safety. We also understand addressing issues like asthma, which can be linked to housing conditions directly to respiratory health. By providing tailored home assessments and connecting families to essential resources, we aim to reduce and improve overall health outcomes for children and vulnerable populations
Meet the dedicated members of the Healthy Homes Coalition of West Anniston who are passionate about promoting children's health and environmental justice in our community.
